Laundrette was a tribute to the familiar faces I saw around the neighborhood I grew up in. This is a preservation of small fleeting moments— waves and goodbyes. These common interactions seemed essential to my residence. The work attempts to reconcile and confront ideas of staticity and what it means to stay in a neighborhood through following long-time residents juxtaposed with my felt-documentation as a young and naive kid.
